SALON POLICIES

Please read SKIM Boutique's policy below carefully before booking your appointment.

Strictly applicable to all new and existing clients.

1. Deposits

A non-refundable deposit for all services is required to be made online at the time of booking to secure your appointment. Your deposit will be deducted off your service price on the day of your appointment. Your deposit is strictly NON-REFUNDABLE. Please book wisely.

2. Rescheduling

Rescheduling appointments must be made online and made at least 48 hours prior to the original appointment, otherwise your deposit will be forfeited.

 

3. Late arrivals

Please notify Sarah asap if you will be late to your appointment. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will automatically be cancelled and your deposit forfeited.

 

4. Cancellations / No Shows

Any cancellations and no shows will result in your deposit will be forfeited. No shows will automatically forfeit their deposit. Please be considerate of my time. Deposits can be transferred to a friend on the condition you have notified the salon at least 48 hours prior to the original appointment time.

 

5. Refunds

Refunds are not available in any circumstance. If you are unhappy with the service please contact Sarah ASAP to discuss your concerns.

6. Brows

If you are looking to book for Ombre brows and currently have an existing tattoo, you MUST text Sarah on 0434583904 or Instagram message photos of your current brows for assessment and approval PRIOR to booking online. Your brows must be 70% faded. 

All foreign retouches will be considered as a new set of brows. Please refer to previous point about existing tattoo bookings.

7. Lash infills

We do not provide infill services for lash extensions applied at another salon. In these cases, you will be charged for a removal and full set on the day of your appointment.

 

Infill appointments must be within 3 weeks since your last appointment and you must have at least 40% of your extensions remaining. If these two criteria are not met, you will be charged for a full set on the day of your appointment.

 

8. Eyelash Extensions Allergic Reactions

Health and safety is my number one priority. Whilst not common, allergic reactions can occur at any time, even if you have had extensions before.

 

If you react during your appointment, we will remove all extensions. You will be required to pay the full service fee to cover the cost of my time and materials used. You may be required to seek medical assistance depending on the severity of the reaction.

 

If you experience an allergic reaction (e.g. puffy red eyelids) after your appointment, please contact Sarah and seek medical assistance ASAP. Whilst we cannot offer a refund, we will be happy to remove the extensions within 72 hours of your appointment free of charge. Please note however, reactions generally subside after a couple of days and do not always require a removal.

 

9. Other Health concerns

If you are unwell or have any contagious health issues (e.g. Conjunctivitis), please reschedule until you are 100% cleared. Due to OH&S we will not lash unwell clients on the day and you will forfeit your deposit.

  

10. Additional guests

I kindly ask that you not bring guests or children to your appointment. As my salon is home based, please respect my privacy.

 

11. Balancing payment

Balancing payments must be made on the day of your appointment. Cash or bank transfer is preferred. EFTPOS facilities are also available however will attract a 1.6% transaction fee.

12. Right of refusal of service

We maintain the right to refuse anyone treatment for any reason that we see fit. 

 

 

CovidSafe Policy (MUST READ)

For the safety our clients and myself, the following precautions have been put in place for all appointments going forward.

  • If you are feeling unwell or have been in contact with anyone with Covid-19 symptoms in the last two weeks, please reschedule your appointment asap (please contact me directly if you need to reschedule within 24hrs; your deposit will not be lost).

  • As usual, please do not bring guests or children to your appointment.

  • You will be required to check-in with the QR code upon arrival.

  • You will be required to wash and sanitise your hands upon arrival.

  • You will be required to wear a face mask (please bring your own if possible). 

  • To encourage contactless payments, bank transfer and EFTPOS facilities are now available. EFTPOS payments will incur a 1.6% transaction fee. Cash payments can still be made.
